Sacramento Wedding Venues I love
I was born and raised in Northern California and I am so stinking proud of where I am from. We are less than 2 hours from both beach and snow, not to mention some of the best food and wine in the entire world. There is something special about Northern California and the Sacramento wedding venues we have to offer are truly some of the best. There are so many to choose from, each with their own look and feel. Here are a few that I love and recommend to anyone on their wedding planning journey. You are sure to find one that fits you and your personalities to a tee.
From sand to snow, we have it all…
Monte Verde Inn
Monte Verde Inn - Foresthill, CA
The Monte Verde Inn is one of my favorite places and holds a special place in my heart. It was the first venue I worked at when I was a photography assistant, just starting out. I fell in love instantly with the beauty of the property, the history of the inn itself and its seemingly magical light. Monte Verde Inn has been hosting weddings for many years and their staff is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for an outdoor venue surrounded by trees but is not a long way from Sacramento, you can’t go wrong with this venue.
Why I love it for photography: I swear the light is magical here. It is glowy and warm and makes for the most GORGEOUS portraits. It seems that every time I am there I find a new little nook to explore for photos and get to be creative with my work. I absolutely adore this venue.

Vizcaya
Vizcaya- Sacramento, CA
A hidden gem in downtown Sacramento, Vizcaya truly has it all. It is easily accessed from anywhere around Sacramento and has multiple options for ceremony cites, and a large indoor reception space so you don’t have to worry about a plan B for weather issues. Vizcaya has getting ready spaces for both the bride and the groom and con accommodate a larger wedding size, if you have a larger guest count.
Why I love it for photography: There are a few things about Vizcaya that make it pretty special in my opinion. There are a variety of spots that each give a different feel to your photos. You can get a garden vibe or a more urban look depending on which spots you explore. It is easy to navigate and does not take a ton of time to wlak from place to place, which means you don’t spend your whole day moving from spot to spot. The light that comes into the courtyard and the shines through the fountain at the front are chefs kiss

I love this venues light and majestic setting for gorgeous sunset portraits as well as an indoor space in case of inclement weather. The Willow Ballroom- Hood, CA
I love the Willow Ballroom for so many reasons. The ballroom itself is especially a blank slate, and can be styled to your exact liking. There are outdoor and indoor ceremony options and the space can accommodate a very large guest count. They also offer a separate area for you and your bridal party for photos that is just gorgeous.
Why I love it for photography: The Willow Ballroom offers one of my favorite indoor ceremony/reception options.
